This system publicizes the top 22 clubs in both the boys and girls categories as well as overall. The rankings are based primarily upon the on-field results – winning percentage accounting for 70 percent of the score. Minimum standards and operations complete the other 30 percent.

U15 KICKERS ELITE BOYS LOSE HEARTBREAKER IN PK SHOOTOUT
Scoreless Draw Led To Overtime And Five Rounds Of Penalties
Richmond, VA - (Monday, October 29, 2007) - The Richmond Kickers Elite U15 Boys suffered a heartbreaking loss during last weekend’s State Cup Semifinal against the McLean MPS Hurricanes from Northern Virginia. A scoreless draw in regulation led to two 15-minute overtime periods, resulting in five rounds of penalties with the Kickers eventually dropping a 5-4 shootout decision.
"Although the team is disappointed, I am extremely proud of our effort against McLean in the semi final match," comments Richmond Head Coach Jesse Myers. "This is the second time in six months that it took the defending state champions two overtimes and penalties to beat us. Every training session or game, this group of players comes prepared to accept any challenge that is presented to them. That is all any coach can ask of his players."

Free training for recreation players offered on Friday nights!

The last two Friday nights, the Richmond Kickers have offered free recreational training sessions to all Kickers recreation players at Dorey Park in Henrico county. Led by former Richmond Kickers professional player, Rob Ukrop, and assisted by his U14 Girls Elite travel team, over 90 kids have participated learning basic soccer skills, balance, and footwork through a combination of soccer drills and games. One young player was heard telling the coaches "this was the best practice of my life" while a grandparent emailed the youth club office to say "I took my grandson to this and it was GREAT!" While this is a wonderful opportunity for young recreational players to get in some extra training, there are only three Friday night sessions left: March 28, April 18, and April 25 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Rob and his team hope to see your child out there this Friday night, please remind them to wear their Kickers uniform, shinguards, and to bring a soccer ball. Again, there is no charge for these training sessions. (Photo provided by Willie Riefner)

2010 KICKERS' INVITATIONAL
A few changes have been made for games at Striker Park and Lowes Field at 7:30 p.m.

**Due to melting snow and rain we have lost 16 full sized fields. Even with these unfortunate circumstances we were able to keep all divisions playing except the u9 boys, u10 boys, u11 boys, u9 girls, and u10 girls.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: MYSL Soccer Park at Hensley and Bryan Park have been closed for the weekend. Games scheduled in divisions we were able to accommodate at those sites have been moved to alternate sites. We were also able to move a few u11 boys matches, as well.
The updated schedule is now live. Please review it carefully for changes. We apologize for not being able to offer a quality event to those divisions, but are pleased to be able to continue to host over 120 teams despite the loss of playing fields.**
