Soccer offers numerous opportunities to make mistakes - which can assault player confidence. Thus, confidence lies at the heart of successful performance.*
Confidence - the constant belief that the challenges of soccer can be overcome - is the foundation of success.
Confidence is a choice...you must take responsility for your actions..and see setbacks as part of the learning curve.
Lack of preparation can result in stress (absence of confidence)....If you are not preparing to win, you are preparing to fail.
Achieving small goals regularly and feeling good about it is the way to build confidence and coping skills for big goals.
As we move through each day, we constantly talk to ourselves.....Players with confidence program their "inner" tape with positive self-talk.
What happens to you is not nearly as important as how you react to what happens to you.
