Critical Clash as Top Two Teams Collide
The Richmond Kickers (4-2-3) take to the road this Friday, June 11th to take on the league leaders Charleston Battery (6-2-3) at 7:30 p.m. Blackbaud Stadium will provide the venue as the two clubs square off for the second time within a week. The Kickers return to the friendly confines of Richmond City Stadium next Tuesday, June 15th to host Crystal Palace Baltimore in the First Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED
Agreement Includes Field Naming Rights at Ukrop Park
The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce a new partnership with Union First Market Bank, tagging Union First Market the Official Bank of the Richmond Kickers. The enhanced agreement means a continuation of the relationship between the former First Market Bank and the Kickers, making Union First Market Bank one of the sponsors that have supported the Kickers since their inception in 1993. Under terms of the agreement, Union First Market Bank will be the official sponsor of the Man of the Match at all professional Kickers home games, and will have naming rights to an athletic field at Ukrop Park, the Kickers state-of-the-art sports facility located in Richmond, VA.

Second Half Tallies See Kickers Closing on First Place
The Richmond Kickers got back on track Saturday night, defeating the Charleston Battery, 3-1. A crowd of 2,037 was on hand to witness an impressive performance by the defending champions, which supplied a perfect conclusion to the team’s second annual School’s Out Festival.

Kickers entertain Scouts and Colonial Cup teams May 29th
The Richmond Kickers return to UR Stadium this Saturday, May 29th to host the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Scout Night at 7:00 pm. Scouts and Colonial Cup tournament participants can purchase discounted tickets in advance by calling 804-644-5425 x 310. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a special gift, courtesy of Flowers Baking Co.
U.S. OPEN CUP FORMAT ANNOUNCED
Kickers Enter First Round on June 15
U.S. Soccer Federation recently announced the format for the 2010 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. A total of 40 teams, including 23 professional and 17 amateur clubs will compete when the tournament kicks off in June for the 97th consecutive year.

Second Annual Festival Starts at 4pm, prior to Kickers vs Charleston game at 7pm
Celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the summer fun at the Richmond Kickers Second Annual School’s Out Festival on Saturday, June 5th. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the University of Richmond Stadium, the School’s Out Festival will feature live music, food, activities for kids and fun for the whole family. The pro soccer game highlights the event as the Kickers host the Charleston Battery at 7:00 p.m. Bring the whole family before 6:00 p.m. and purchase a $10.00 ticket that allows admission for the whole group. Parking is free. Richmond Kickers regular priced admission ($12/adults, $7/youth) will apply after 6:00 p.m.

Delicate notches fifth goal of the season in 1-1 draw against Maryland

The Richmond Kickers battled the Real Maryland Monarchs to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at the University of Richmond Stadium. Scoring sensation Matthew Delicâte gave the home team an early lead with a 17th minute tally when he connected on a cross from rookie midfielder Jonathan Villanueva. The Kickers controlled the run of play, out-shooting their opponent 18-4 but could not rally back after conceding an own goal in the 63rd minute.
