What is recreation soccer?
Our Richmond Kickers recreation soccer program is designed to provide a safe, family friendly environment for children to learn about the beautiful game of soccer and have fun at the same time. Recreation soccer is not about winning! It is about the players learning positive life skills and making friends! The emphasis is on participation!
**For Chesterfield (Pocoshock) program new this Fall Season; ALL U8 and older teams are required to switch to the red and white uniforms. The red jersey puchase price is $12.00 and must be purchased when the player is registered. Gold jerseys will no longer be allowed in this program. All of the RKYSC teams will be outfitted in our official colors; Red and White.** Parents do not need to purchase the whte jersey if they already have one for their child.**
**Effective Fall 2008; a maximum of 5 players may be carried over from one year to another including the coaches child. This is especially important as we move to continue to make our teams more balanced. This requirement will affect certain age groups as numbers on rosters and sizes of division also play a role in this matter. We have some divisions with 2 or 1 teams where this rule will not work. Our emphasis is continue to foster the club philosophy of becoming more of "We are part of the Kickers Club, rather than we are part of one team!" Coaching requests will strictly be honored on a first come, first served and paid basis!**
Coaches and Volunteers are needed for all of our programs! Please register for each season so we can keep current, up to date records. If you have a player in the program you can register as a volunteer when you register your player online. If you coach multiple age groups you must register seperately for each age group! We can never have enough volunteers in our programs!
Please review the Coaches Code of Conduct in detail. All coaches must agree to abide by the guidelines outlined in the Code of Conduct.

Recreation officials are a valuable resource and play a large roll in the education of the rules to our players for the Richmond Kickers Pocoshock Recreation Program. The Richmond Kickers place a tremendous value on the development of the area’s youth referees.
